Wow. I just realized it's been nearly a year since my last post. But I guess that's symptomatic of how time has flowed. I was pregnant for a lifetime. Baby's first year took a good, solid year. But her next half year? Whoosh! Her first birthday was just yesterday and whammo! she's a year and a half.

I read a lot of Mommy Blogs and every now and then I consider getting into the biz myself. A big attraction for me is the giveaways. If I was doing the reviewing, I'd be guaranteed the booty! And after all, I was a trained, professional writer once upon a time ago.

I also have Stuff to Say. (Right now a topic I'm mulling is Baby's First Freckles. Compelling, no?) But mostly now I write this Stuff for limited release. Namely, in my head. Ocassionally I share my musings with other mothers at the playground, in tidbits and snatches as we chase after our children.

Mommy Blogs are very effective forms of information dispersal. It's through Mommy Blogs that I have learned about products that are my new obsessions: Wee Squeak and See Kai Run shoes, Petunia PickleBottom Diaper bags, Bummas wipes, that thing that cleans using only water... and Guidecraft furniture. Oh, Guidecraft furniture! I want the table and chair set, the rocking chair, and the toybox. In an animal themed pattern, if you please, perhaps the Safari or the Noah's Ark. (I can't choose my favorite pattern, and knowing me, I would get three pieces in three different patterns, not a smart look!)

There are giveaways for Guidecraft every so often, usually for one item. But Serendipity Mommy is doing a giveaway for a table set AND a toybox! The theme is transportation which is admittedly not my favorite, but it is still cool, and who's to say my daughter won't love it? Mostly it's the AND part that's grabbing me. Why did Serendipity Mom get two pieces to give away? And why is she doing it as one giveaway instead of two? Did I mention she's giving away TWO of the 3 things I want most?
